MY PASSION My passion for real estate started when I was 6 years old. I recall sitting in the back of a 1960's station wagon, touring the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington. We drove up and down the neighborhoods viewing vacation homes. The moment I saw my aunt's face light up and shout out, "this is the one," I was hooked. From then on, wherever we traveled, my sister Karen and I were known to seek out every real estate brochure we could find. We studied them intently, critiquing pricing, staging, and fight over which one we thought was best. She went into banking and married a real estate owner/broker. I pursued fashion merchandising, a retail career where I learned presentation standards, marketing, and customer service. Although we live apart, we continue our game of real estate critics. Over the phone, each on our computer we look at the same property listing and fight over which is best. My brother in law calls us the real estate stalkers! By this time my passion for real estate became an addiction and resulted in multiple personal home purchases and sales. Finally, my husband told me (quite firmly) "No More Houses." So, instead of being a real estate stalker, I left retail and became a realtor where I can put my passion and experience into helping others with their real estate needs. It has been the best career move ever! I am proud to be a realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. EXPERIENCE I have been in a leadership role my entire career. I have had the privilege of working with some of the top retail professionals in the nation-executives who mentored me and became my role models. In retail you learn to work under pressure, learn to be flexible, learn to problem solve, and be able to adapt to change. I was a buyer for ladies sportswear and quickly learned the fine art of negotiation as well as the need to be fair and respectful of others' points of view. As a store manager, managing different size stores and locations with up to 200+ employees, I worked alongside many varieties of personalities, cultures, and demographics. We built teams, had fun, and delivered results. Communication was and is the essence of my success. Timely, honest, diplomatic communication is my standard. I spent 4 years in downtown revitalization as an Executive Director. We built marketing strategies in tv, radio, print, and social media. We developed creative monthly events to draw people and new businesses downtown. I love finding creative solutions and built a reputation of getting the job done. My husband and I have had personal property transactions in California, Oregon, and Arizona. We have bought and sold rentals, investment, and residential properties. I have experienced great agents and some not so great. I took the best from each and adopted those traits into my realtor business model. I want to help my clients avoid the pitfalls we experienced and help make their transaction as stress free as possible. I am a proven professional and maintain high personal standards in all that I do. I am tenacious and protective of my friends, family, and clients. I believe in building relationships and doing what's best for my clients. So, enough about me, let's get out their and find your place in the sun...together!!
