About Joel

Joel Shasteen is a South Carolina native who has called downtown Greenville home for nearly a decade. With a background in hospitality management and hands-on construction experience, he brings a thoughtful, service-driven approach to real estate rooted in family and community. Joel began his career with The Ritz-Carlton and later consulted for IHG, building a strong foundation in client service and operational excellence. He eventually stepped away from the corporate world to support his wife’s career as an Emergency Room physician and focus on raising their three children. During that season, he immersed himself in home renovation and construction—personally renovating and building homes over the past seven years. That experience gives him a trained eye for craftsmanship, structural integrity, and long-term value—an advantage his clients rely on. Today, Joel combines his hospitality background with construction knowledge to help buyers and sellers make confident, informed decisions. Whether working with first-time buyers, seasoned investors, or experienced homeowners, he offers practical insight into a property’s true potential and the realities behind the walls. Outside of real estate, Joel stays active with his family—spending time at the Upstate lakes, coaching basketball and soccer, and teaching Bible study at Christ Church.
