He has been married to his wife, Julie, for 47 years, and together they raised two sons: Andy, a John Burroughs School ’99 and Emory University ’04 graduate, now in private equity in Atlanta; and Joe, his business partner in real estate! Steve, a 1974 graduate of John Burroughs School has served on its Alumni Board, the Board of Temple Israel, as a Big Brother of the JCCA Big Brother/Big Sister Program, and volunteer coach in baseball, basketball, and soccer for both of his sons. Joe lives in Ladue with his wife, Kaitlin, their daughters Catherine Lilly and Julia James, and their spirited German Shorthaired Pointer rescue, Millie. Joe is currently the President of the John Burroughs School Alumni Association, and has delighted in coaching his daughters in baseball, basketball, and soccer!
