About Paul

Paul has lived in Albion for 27 years. He and his wife Kate have raised 4 children together and currently enjoy 2 grandchildren. Paul has an extensive history in banking and finance along with self- employment experience. After graduating St. Joseph’s College, N. Windham, Maine in 1983 with a B.S. in Business Administration Paul started his career with The Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine in 1983 as the Assistant Executive Director. In 1985 Paul went to work for the Merrill Trust Company in Bangor. He worked in various capacities for Merrill’s successor, Fleet Bank of Maine. From 1986, Paul was the Branch Manager in Newport, Maine and from 1989-1991 was the Regional Vice President for Fleet’s Southern Maine Region being very involved in the acquisitions of Maine Savings Bank and Maine National Bank. In 1991 to 1997, Paul relocated to central Maine with his last responsibility being the Regional Vice President here in Waterville with oversight for the branch banking system in Central/ Western Maine. In 1997 Paul left Fleet and went to work for United Bancorp in Bangor, a wholly owned subsidiary of Camden National Corp, and had oversight over all of the Bank’s Retail Banking functions. In 1999 Paul and Kate ventured out on their own and acquired Freedom General Store, Inc. in Freedom, Maine and ran a very successful operation until they sold in 2015. Over the years in Central Maine Paul has been a very active community member having coached baseball in Fairfield PAL, and in the SAD 49 school system. He played college Baseball, and coached at the Little League, Babe Ruth, and Legion level. Paul has served on the Board of Directors for The Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine, The Mid Maine Chamber of Commerce, The Waterville Area Boy’s and Girl’s Club, The Freedom Community Historical Society, and many other community and philanthropic ventures. In addition, for the last ten years Paul has worked as a manager and consultant with Ironwood Maine, a residential treatment center for teens in Morrill, Maine. With Paul’s extensive background in Banking/Finance, self-employment and his knowledge of the Eastern Kennebec/Western Waldo County’s Real Estate markets he promises to be a great asset for all customers in meeting their specific real estate needs.
