About Sara

Sara Kam grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii and chose to stay, as she felt there was no better place to raise her two boys - one in school and the other a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. She and her husband of nearly 20 years, who works in construction, have often taken on home remodels together, giving her firsthand experience in what it takes to turn a house into a home. A passionate advocate for the island’s unique spirit, she feels truly blessed to call it home. Before earning her real estate license, Sara began her career in the hospitality industry, embracing the true spirit of aloha. From there, she transitioned to project management with a local general contractor, where she gained hands-on experience in designing homes. Armed with nothing but an architectural scale and paper, she meticulously crafted building plans and oversaw the entire home construction process. This experience taught her not only how to design but also how to manage permits and subcontractors. Sara’s journey continued as a wedding coordinator at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, where she honed her skills in designing, planning, and executing luxury weddings to the highest standards. Her dedication and expertise led her to open her own high-end wedding planning company, which she ran for over 12 years with consistent 5-star reviews, earning a reputation for excellence and attention to detail.
