Born and raised in the breathtaking Bahamas, I learned the value of community, resilience, and leadership at an early age. From my formative years excelling in programs like Girl Scouts, Performing Arts Theatre, and Junior Achievement, to achieving national recognition as a professional model at just 13, she quickly demonstrated a drive to succeed and inspire others. After earning my degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University I embarked on a 20-year hospitality career, earning accolades and developing exceptional skills in customer service, leadership, and strategic sales. My tenure at world-class brands such as Hyatt Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Company and Marriotts, I honed my ability to understand clients' unique needs, manage high-stakes negotiations, and deliver results with grace and professionalism. Since moving to Sarasota in 1998, I have been immersed in the local community, participating in leadership programs and serving on boards like Junior Achievement and Leadership Sarasota County. My dedication to service has earned me recognition, including the prestigious J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence and a spot on Gulf Coast Business Review's "40 Under 40" list. Beyond my professional achievements, my love of golf, outdoor sports, sun, sand, travel and exploration keeps me balanced. I cherish my role as a mother and mentor, striving to inspire others to dream big and achieve their goals. With an eye toward the future, I envision creating a foundation to support Sarasota youth, ensuring my legacy of service and success leaves a lasting impact.
