About Gena

Driven by her deep compassion for her clients, Gena Elfelt has built a successful real estate career on providing excellent service from beginning to end. Gena embarked on her real estate journey 25 years ago this June, and from the start she has relied on her unstoppable work ethic to achieve results. "I started when I was 28, and there weren't many young people in the business,' Gena recalls. "It was hard to be taken seriously, but I was fierce and I saw that as a challenge, so I quickly rose to the top. I've been working with the same broker since I started, and I knew I was with the best of the best. I had to prove myself, and I did!' The rest is history, and to this day Gena continues that same tradition of excellence. Gena serves the Temecula Valley, including southwest Riverside County as well as northern San Diego County. Having grown up here, Gena has a wealth of expertise with her local market. Her business is made up almost entirely of repeat and referral clients, a sure sign of the trust she inspires. "I get constant referrals from past clients and their families,' Gena says. "I've even worked with multiple generations of some families. My business is almost all referral, and I like it that way.' It's easy to see what keeps people coming back. "I say what I mean, and I mean what I say,' Gena explains. "I ultimately care. My clients can tell you that I always answer my phone, and once we close, they even joke that they feel like I broke up with them because I'm not talking to them every day anymore!' It's this dedication to her clients that truly sets Gena apart. Her clients know they can count on her to fight for them. "I'm a pit bull,' Gena says. "I love what I do, but I also fight for what I believe.' Gena's expertise also makes her a valuable resource to her fellow agents. "Brokers from other offices will often call me asking for guidance,' Gena says. "It always makes me feel good when someone I've done transactions with calls me and asks for my advice. I know how to handle situations calmly, and I make sure I have a solution before I talk to everybody. We're like firefighters in that way: there's always something that can go wrong, and we have to have the solution without panicking everybody.' Outside of real estate, Gena's passion is riding her horses. She competes in team penning and ranch sorting competitions, a pursuit that frequently results in business selling horse ranches. "I'm always out with people,' Gena says. "Wherever I go, I meet friends. I'm always talking to somebody.' Looking toward the future, Gena plans to continue maintaining her business and serving her clients. She is grateful for all that real estate has given her, and happy to be able to help people. "I love what I do, and I love working with people,' Gena says. "People don't forget you, and it's amazing to be such a part of their life and help them. It's something they'll never forget.'
