About Steffi With a background in art and a passion for horses, Steffi Berens is a savvy Westside real estate specialist with an interest in equestrian properties and a first career that earned her an Emmy as a makeup artist. With unique warmth and terrific “people” skills, Steffi is absolutely devoted to her clients’ happiness. At the same time, she is a tough negotiator with patience and understanding that wins the admiration of sellers, buyers and even other real estate agents. As part of The Berens Group, Steffi works with her mother, Sandy Berens, representing home sellers and buyers in Venice, Marina del Rey and on the Venice Canals. “There is nothing like these beach communities,” Steffi says, “These are areas that are defined by geography and absolutely unique when it comes to history and architecture – and beauty.” Involved in the Venice Boat Parade every year, Steffi participates in many community projects, including bridge painting. Through their community outreach program, “Berens Friends,” The Berens Group contributes a portion of every commission to a charity of the client’s choice. Steffi, who was born and raised in Southern California, grew up in Mar Vista and has lived in Marina del Rey for more than 20 years. She earned scholarships to Otis Art Academy and Brentwood Art Academy and attended UCLA. Detail-oriented and hardworking, Steffi is known for her passion and compassion. “My clients’ happiness motivates me. I really care if they’re happy. It matters to me that they understand their transaction and that they’re involved exactly as much as they want to be. I am totally accessible and available to them.
