At the age of 10, My family moved to Palm Springs.(from Los Angeles). My father sold his business with the intention of taking retirement (at age 52) in our new Desert home. Instead, he studied for the Real Estate exam by the pool, and for the next twelve years was a top producing agent. He sold to celebrities' and athletes, and sometimes he would have to leave his open house momentarily, and me (his 12 year old assistant) would guide people through the property. Apparently I often got rave reviews! Later, I returned to Los Angeles to attend an acting college and acted in local theater for 15 years. I Sold Real Estate for two years part time, but gave it up to work at a premiere plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills for 14 years. my favorite job there was doing in person consultations for prospective patients. After our consultation, waiting for the Doctor to arrive, I got a chance to hear the "life story" of thousands of individuals. And sometimes, they heard mine.
