About Steven

Steven Schneider was born and raised in South Africa. My mother was a successful Real Estate Agent and my father was an art dealer… selling fine art paintings from Sotheby and other well-known art dealers worldwide. I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa and after completing high school, I joined the army for two years. That was an eye opener for a curious 18-year-old kid like me. Being a fun loving character and having a great desire to see the world, I traveled to many destinations in Europe particularly. After a few years of globetrotting, I ended up coming to America in 1982 and became a proud American citizen. I am a man with varied interests… I was always eager to explore and see where I my skills and experiences would take me. After a fortunate meeting with a fellow South African, owner and operator of a successful plumbing business, I learned the trade and became an integral part of the business for 16 years. My work was not limited to home plumbing repairs but I was also involved in the construction of high-end luxury homes in the Pacific Palisades area. My interest and love for beautiful homes grew more and more every year, but an injury put an end to this part of my life. Again a change in career was in the air. I worked in the casino and gaming industry where I was a host for several years. My experience and enthusiastic personality propelled me to a managerial position at the Hollywood Park and Casino, catering to the more sophisticated clientele. Being a people person, I enjoyed my job for it allowed me to mingle with vey interesting and successful professionals in all walks of life. Again fate had its own way of steering me in a different direction…the Casino was sold. I accepted this event in a positive way and one more time, I decided to make some changes in my life. I studied Real Estate and fortunately for me, I had the envious opportunity to join Coldwell Bankers in Beverly Hills North office. I’m very happy to announce that I am now part of an elite work force.
