About Chris

Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Chris Johnson brings more than 20 years of expertise in the Los Angeles real estate market—with experience in luxury residences as well as investment and commercial properties—to The Agency’s Calabasas office. His career began in finance, where he managed large holdings in bonds, mortgages and other real estate investments. This experience equipped Chris with knowledge of fundamental investment strategies, information he draws upon when counseling his clients. Exceptionally detail-oriented, Chris takes pride in carefully reviewing the terms of every deal, and invites his clients to observe and learn from the process. Prior to joining The Agency, Chris successfully spearheaded real estate-focused branding and marketing initiatives and was a partner in one of the top-producing Orange County brokerages. During that time, Chris also started a residential real estate appraisal business and assessed the value of hundreds of homes in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Riverside counties. Understanding a home or property may be one of the largest transactions a person will make, Chris takes pride in not just the final sale or purchase, but his ability to recognize the unique financial needs of his clients and ensure each decision aligns with their specific goals and lifestyles. In his free time, Chris is an avid athlete, sportsman and DIY-er—he enjoys boating, swimming, motorcycle racing and renovating cars and homes. He is also an active volunteer with veteran’s associations and Habitat for Humanity.
