About Alysha

I was lucky enough to have grown up in beautiful, serene Door County, but after high school, I was eager to experience a bigger city. I left Door County for my freshmen year of college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study Nonprofit and Community Leadership. After a few months of city lights and loud noises, I was eager to come home to my roots of Door County. After my freshmen year of college, I transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and rearranged my plans to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Business Administration as well as a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Going this route, I am able to accel my plans and graduate in three years. I strive on furthering my education, and I am eager to always continue learning. While I was enrolled in my second year of school, I studied more on what my late father always aspired to do, sell real estate. Right away, I was fascinated by the field, especially in an area as wonderful as Door County. I decided to enroll in the Wisconsin real estate licensing course and receive my license in sales. As I was taking my licensing course, my fiancé; and I decided to start a local winter business in the area to truly embrace the cold months of the wonderful place we live. Door County Kicksled sells kick sleds, a winter recreation, for the residents and guests of Door County to enjoy. This is a delightful business that connects the people in Door County to the beauty of the area, as well as my fiancé; and I to the locals and the visitors of the area. I am extremely passionate about Door County, the people, and the charm of the area. While diving into beginning a small business, being a full-time student, and taking my real estate sales licensing course, I reached out to Heather Smith, and I told her how thrilled I was to get started in this field. From that point, I met with Heather, we created a plan, and I started my career. Being early into my career, I am excited to learn more, grow in what I do, and continue to build my bank of knowledge, as well as embrace my young age and implement new methods and technology. On my free time, I love to spend time with my fiancé; by playing golf at Peninsula Park Golf Course and Horseshoe Bay Golf Course as well as sail in Lake Michigan. I love to spend time hiking in the Door County Land Trusts and State Parks. I find enjoyment when I am at art shows or chatting with artists at my part-time job at Edgewood Orchard Galleries. In the winters I love to be out enjoying my free time gliding along on my own kick sleds. When I am baking, cooking, and finding new recipes, I am at my happiest.
