About Rob

I consider it a privilege to have been born and raised in Blacksburg and to now be married raising my own daughters in such a family friendly environment. I graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1990 and went to Virginia Tech graduating from the Pamplin School of Business with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Residential Property Management. After living a short time in Richmond, an opportunity to start my own business brought me back to Blacksburg. Years ago, my father, Joe Jones asked me to join him at Raines Real Estate. I had always been interested in building construction and real estate in general, that seemed like a good fit. Since that time, I have consistently been a multimillion dollar producer and used my property management background to advise clients on investment properties. I come from a long line of "Hokies". My grandfather, father, and brother are all Virginia Tech grads. I take great pride in being a Hokie and being a part of such a vibrant community. My wife, Karen teaches at Blacksburg Middle School and we have two beautiful daughters, Ali and Kami.
