About Sheri

Born in Central Texas, Sheri is a Texas original. As a shy, freckle-faced, book reading, horseback riding, animal loving kid, she has lived on a California ranch and in the big city of Toronto, Ontario, but grew up mostly in Texas. After graduating from New Braunfels High School, she attended college in Waco, making deep and lasting friendships. Sheri has helped break and train horses, been a youth minister, and enjoyed working hard to remodel and decorate a number of houses. She has traveled extensively with ministry teams in the states and briefly in Europe and after living several years in Oklahoma has recently moved back to her beloved Texas. Having experienced big city life, small town life, and country life, Sheri considers Waco to be a close-to-perfect unique blend of city culture and warm hometown feel. Her son Adrian and his lovely wife Meryl both graduated from Midway High School in Waco and St. Edward's University in Austin. They make Waco their home with baby Ruth, Sheri's first grandchild! People find it difficult to believe that Sheri was ever shy because nowadays, like her centenarian dad, she rarely meets a stranger. In fact, her dad once told her, "I make eveybody my friend." Like her dad, Sheri has dear friends from all walks of life. She is a lover of God, people, animals, music and art, and thoroughly enjoys making a house into a home. She's a hard working team player, with a joyful attitude and an infectious smile who lives life as an encourager, dedicated to helping others!
