About Brian

Brian has worked with buyers and sellers in the area since 2011. Early in his career he forged a strong relationship broker Tom Schwenk. While attending graduate school at Texas A&M and in between shipping gigs in the merchant marine, Brian worked as Tom's assistant and Tom has been an excellent mentor to Brian over the years and they have closed dozens of transactions together. Outside of real estate, Brian stays busy with his involvement with the Galveston Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches. In 2018, along with his brother, he founded the La Izquierda Surf & Music Festival which has grown in popularity over the last 2 years and become a calendar event for Galveston. He also serves on the Galveston Association of Realtors MLS committee. Brian is married to local architect, Cate Black.
