About Steven

Steven Sovereign has lived in Beaumont for 37+ years. Steven transferred to Lamar University from McNeese University in Lake Charles, LA where he grew up and graduated from Lake Charles High School 13th in his class. Steven was blessed to come from wonderful parents, Kenneth and Mable Sovereign and has two siblings; Angela Sovereign Marcon, the oldest by 13 months and 13 days; and Michael Sovereign, his younger brother by 2 ½ years. Steven was married for 23 years and has a beautiful daughter Brea Sovereign Monceaux who is now married and has 4 amazing children, 3 boys (Grayson 8, Ethan 6 & Dawson 3) and a 1 girl (Micah Jane 1). Steven enjoys spending time fishing with his grandkids, taking journeys of discovery on his Harley Davidson nicknamed ‘Frenchie’ and playing and writing blues songs on his guitar. Steven is a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sour Lake where the Lord has led him to an amazing congregation that is more like a family. Within the diocese of OLV Steven is a member of the church council; supports the collection count committee; is a member and Trusty for the local Knights of Columbus; is chairman for the church’s fundraiser committee; and has led the year 2021 Bishops Faith Appeal Ministry for the Sour Lake Diocese. Steven is also involved with the Chamber of Commerce working as an Ambassador supporting the New Member Development Committee as an Advisor. Steven is a graduate of the 2022 Leadership Beaumont program in its 50th year. LB is sponsored by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce to cultivate and develop leaders who will serve & positively impact the community. While not immersed in the world of real estate, Steven spends much of his free time between remodeling his home and traveling to new (bike friendly) locations to see the many wonders our beautiful country has to offer. His bucket list updates daily, but 2 that are most recent add-ins are the train ride from Durango to Silverton and the Twisted Sisters ride located in the Hill Country of Texas.
