Her entrepreneurial spirit and drive earned her national recognition, including Entrepreneur of the Year from the University of Arizona and the Create Your Dreams Award from the International Association of Working Mothers. She’s also been featured on CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch and was selected to design children’s T-shirts for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Her life, however, is more than just professional milestones—it’s a story of faith, family, and resilience. In 2022, while remodeling a home in Amarillo, Melanie faced a life-threatening medical challenge: a large brain tumor that required a 10-hour surgery. Through unwavering faith, determination, and the support of her husband, Bill, and their two sons, Nick and Colby, she made a full recovery. That experience reignited her sense of purpose and strengthened her belief that every home—and every person—has a story worth celebrating. Today, Melanie continues to bring that same heart and determination to her work with Coldwell Banker First Equity.
