She later earned a Master of Arts degree in Management from Webster University. She has over 15 years of professional experience in the public and private sector in South Carolina, Texas and Alabama. She brings a wealth of knowledge from working with direct client services and management teams across various organizations to include the South Carolina Office of the Governor and the South Carolina Department of Education. Karren has been a member of the American Association of University Women-Greater Columbia Branch, served as a mentor for the Leader2Leader Project for the Leadership Institute at Columbia College and past member of the Board of Directors for the Children's Trust of South Carolina. As an "Army Brat" and wife of a retired US Air Force member, Karren has thirty years of first-hand experience and a greater understanding of relocation matters. She relates well to military families and others relocating to the Midlands area. She has a true appreciation for smooth transitioning into new homes, schools and communities for families.
