In the 1880s through 1900, there was a booming town of 300 to 400 people living there in a town named Poe Millsby folks harvesting trees. It had a post office probably located in the basement of this cabin. It had daily train service. As time went by though, the trees were cut, and the residents moved along with the timbering jobs. Today there is a 22+/- acre tract of land that has 11 cabins if I counted correctly, each with its own deeded acreage. This land is surrounded by thousands of acres of state land. Adjacent to this 22 acres is Penns Creek. It has one of the best areas for fly trout fishing in PA with many diversified insect hatches. The cabin has a semi-private setting.
