About This Home

3125 Main Road

Historic home in the heart of Rainsburg. This home was once a dormitory for the Allegheny Male and Female Seminary of the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The Civil War caused the seminary to close. After the seminary closed, it became the 'Cessna Hotel'. It has been a primary residence ever since the hotel closed. The home is in need of renovations and care. The historic charm is still visible in every element of the home. It is complete with a 3 hole outhouse, which means there is no sewer. The property has city water and electric. If you are looking for a historical home to renovate and bring life back into, this is the home. Home is being sold as-is. Cash purchase only. Serious inquiries only.
