Business Philosophy Emmanuel is a constant student of the real estate business, learning every day what the latest and greatest technologies, laws and statistics are for the Central Ohio Market. "I believe buying and selling a home is one of the biggest financial transactions in many peoples’ lives. I work hard to be up on the latest laws, technological advances, etc. to ensure that they have the best experience possible. I help my clients navigate what can be an emotional journey that requires an expert to help.” Emmanuel firmly believes he is not in the business of selling houses but in selling homes where people live their lives and create lifelong memories. Education and Training Emmanuel is a graduate of Worthington High School (back when there was only 1 high school). He attended and graduated from Adrian College where he joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon and became student body President as a Junior. He also was one of only 2 students appointed by the college President to serve on the Board of Trustees for Adrian College. "It was quite an honor to serve on the Board of Trustees with people like Gary Valade, who at that time was the CFO of Chrysler. I learned a lot in those 2 years." Emmanuel was educated in real estate at Hondros College but never stops taking continuing education. "I always want to continue to learn the latest and greatest in my profession. It's important to me to stay on top of the fast changing real estate market to be the expert that my clients can rely on." In Spring of 2013, Emmanuel also completed the 3rd Leadership Academy with the Columbus Realtors to strengthen his leadership skills for his industry and as a community leader. He is an expert on the entire Franklin County area but also is extremely familiar with the 7 surrounding counties and their communities. Community Involvement In January of 2018, Emmanuel Remy was appointed to Columbus City Council to serve out the remainder of the term of newly elected City Attorney Zach Klein, a term which expires in December 2019. Emmanuel's long-standing leadership in NE Columbus earned the respect of his City Council colleagues to gain the appointment. His neighborhood and real estate experience has been a great addition to the Council's already vast experience. Columbus City Council is considered a part-time position and this allows Emmanuel to maintain a full-service real estate practice for his clients. Emmanuel Remy was elected Director on the Columbus Board of Realtors in January of 2014 and 6 terms as President of the Northland Community Council (NCC). NCC is an area in northeast Columbus that is 25 square miles and represents over 125,000 people. If it were its own city, it would be the 7th largest in the state of Ohio. Emmanuel says, "It was a great honor to serve the people of Northeast Columbus. I enjoyed being their advocate and fighting for our community. I look forward to continuing that advocacy not only for Northland but for the entire City of Columbus." Emmanuel serves as an activist in local, state and federal governments which allow him to advocate for his clients in ways other Realtors don't have the experience to help. "With my contacts, it absolutely benefits my clients in how I can fight for them not only during the transaction but beyond."
