Most 39-acre parcels in Allegany County have a road running along one side, which means traffic, road hunters and the occasional neighbor's dog. This one doesn't. It sits a quarter mile back from paved Alma Hill Road, reached by a right-of-way, and the only people who see it are the ones who own it. That distance is the whole point. A quad-width trail already runs the full perimeter, so you can reach every corner of the place on day one without cutting a tree. Two natural openings break up the timber. One could be a food plot with a disc and a bag of seed. The other is a good spot for a fire ring and a couple of chairs. Near the east line there's a level area that works for a cabin, a camper pad or a hunting shack. There is no electric, water or sewer on the property, so plan accordingly. Solar, a generator and hauled water are how plenty of camps in this part of Allegany County run, and if you've hunted out of one before, none of that will surprise you. Wellsville is 11 miles away for groceries and gas, and Belmont is 15. Gas, oil and mineral rights do not convey. Thirty-eight acres this far off the road is hard to judge from a map. Walk the perimeter trail once and the quarter mile starts to look less like a drawback and more like the reason to buy it.
