This historically important C. 1900 house is located in a historic site and has potential for National Register Eligibility. The cottage was once the tenant/Gate Keeper’s house for the Grasmere Estate, now simply known as Grasmere. This house is a rectangular, side gabled Mission inspired cottage with a three-ranked façade and central entry. The house features stuccoed walls, and diamond pane casement windows in sets of three. The front elevation includes a gabled entry porch (one bay) which shelters a paneled door with glass panes within a simple surround. The house has a new roof pierced by a central corbelled chimney. The roof overhangs are broad with fascia, exposed rafters and purlins.
