My wife and I first discovered the Hudson Valley in 2005 while working in the area as performing artists. We were instantly won over by the jaw dropping beauty of the region as well as the strong arts community - and of course the food & wine! We had been searching for some more elbow room and fresh air while still staying close enough to the City and our Upper West Side pad. What was intended as a second home soon became our main hub after the birth of our first daughter. We now feel so fortunate to be raising our two incredible girls in such an inspiring place. COMMUNITY We are very active in the local arts community, performing at local Equity theatres such as Ellenville’s jewel Shadowland Stages. I am so proud of my wife, award winning Broadway actress Denise Summerford. Together we founded Broadway Arts Collective in order to connect young Hudson Valley artists to our network of NYC professional artists. Broadway Arts Collective is honored to be the recipient of the Ulster County Executive’s Arts Award for Arts in Education.
