I remember thinking at the time that we knew very little about our new community. We actually went about the entire process in exactly the wrong way -- we fell in love with our house and knew very little about where we were buying. I wasnt in real estate then or I certainly would have known a lot more about the buying process! Happily, and by good fortune, we found ourselves living in the beautiful and charming Village of Northport where weve planted our family roots firmly during the past twenty plus years. We stumbled upon this fabulous community quite by chance and have enjoyed every moment since!Im a Licensed Associate Broker with over fifteen years of real estate experience; my husband is a DDS, graduate of N.Y.U. Dental School, practicing in both Queens and in Northport; and of our five children, one has an MBA from Stony Brook University, one is graduating from the University at Albany and will be applying to medical school, one is graduating from St. Josephs as an elementary school teacher and two are still in college. Oh, and let me not forgot to mention that we also have a black Lab mix named Scooby, three Siamese cats named Cream Puff, Hershey and Raisin and a floppy eared bunny named Jemima. What a house full!
