About Yumi

I was born and raised in Japan and spent most of my childhood playing outside in nature. I took advantage of being young and adventurous and came to the US by myself, to learn English at the age of 18. I initially intended to attend English school in the US for one year, but it quickly turned into finishing 4 years of college and then into 15 years enjoying my previous career. I had a very successful career as a research scientist and retired after serving as the Vice President of Laboratory Operation at a Biotech Firm for 8 years. By then the USA had become my home, and I can honestly say that I have lived the American Dream and I continue to enjoy what I have achieved in this wonderful country. My success did not come easily. However, I always knew that I would achieve whatever goals I set out to achieve, through hard work, by always going above and beyond, contributing great quality work, and ethics. I strongly believe that honesty and strong moral principles are very important components in business and everyday life. My integrity, attention to detail, and effective communication have been my strongest assets and the biggest reasons for my success. I began exploring my second career options after I met my husband, Matthew. Although I absolutely love being a stay at home wife and stepmom to my stepson, and puppy mom to our beloved Sharpie, Dudley, PandaMoo, Clyde and PebbleRoo. I wanted to challenge myself with a new career that complemented our relationship and added value to our family. My husband is a licensed contractor and a custom home builder who has amazing talents and skills to construct beautiful homes. Therefore, it came naturally to us, and to me, to seek my second career in real estate. We work together on many projects, and my real estate career has been one of the best decisions we have made together. Being a realtor is very rewarding, and I absolutely enjoy helping my clients. I am committed and diligent in every transaction.
