She owned and operated her own real estate company which she sold in 1987, to join the Maplewood Burgdorff office, now known as Coldwell Banker. An avid participant in community and industry affairs, Joan is presently a commissioner on the Essex County Board of Taxation, Secretary/Treasurer of the Maplewood Village Alliance, and a member of Maplewood Affordable Housing.
