I have tried time and time again to come up with a meaningful business philosophy. The more I thought about what my purpose for conducting real estate was, the more I realized it was more than just “working a job” to me and that I have more than one core belief with my business. #1 – Come together, keep things together and work together towards a common goal… I do not simply list and sell homes, I take the time needed to fully understand my clients’ needs and balance the equation. It’s one thing to list a home…but to list it for the correct price to sell it in the proper amount of time with the best showing presentation is a balancing act. Negotiation is another piece of the puzzle which can break a deal or, if done correctly, can move things closer to the finish line. I want my clients to not only win the race, but to do it as easily as possible by teamwork. Buyers, sellers, agents, inspectors, appraisers and banks… I want us ALL to work together. #2 – Educate myself enough so clients do not doubt my value It is a perk that I have the latest tools and technology available. This allows me to quickly and accurately present market data, create marketing materials and gather other real time information to communicate to clients. This makes me more valuable… not just to clients but to myself. If I cannot understand what is occurring in surrounding neighborhoods, I cannot offer the best of me. It is with the click of a button that I can gather the data needed to answer questions and compile strategic material for a marketing plan or to prepare a strong offer! #3 – Have a little fun along the way! I spent many years of my life finding a career path that best suited me until, one day, I realized being happy in a career was not about me… it was about helping others.. and also seeing a few smiles along the way. Each client is different, each home has a different story and, with that, my purpose changes.
