About Al

Al Avery received his real estate salesperson license in 1987 and then after taking additional real estate courses, Avery received his real estate broker's license in 1991. Al is very active with the Grand Island Board of REALTORS® and the Nebraska REALTORS® Association. For the Grand Island Board of REALTORS®, he has served on numerous committees and in leadership positions, currently serving as President. Al was also selected as a recipient of the REALTOR® of Distinction award in 1994 and 2011. He has also received the Mark of Excellence award for the past several years from the Nebraska Realtors® Association. Avery has also served on many committees and leadership positions at the state level, including President of Nebraska REALTORS® Association in 2000.Al was honored in receiving Realtor ® of the year for 2016 from the Nebraska Realtors Association. Avery has taught pre-license real estate courses at Central Community College, Grand Island campus. He has served on the City of Grand Island's Board of Adjustment from 2003-2019. Al Avery recently completed a 6-year term on the Nebraska Real Estate Commission after being appointed by former Gov. Dave Heineman. Al is a member of The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce.
