Serving Home Buyers & Sellers In The Sandhills The story about Jervis Steamer’s journey into real estate could very well be titled, “Father Knows Best.” Recognizing a perfect fit, his dad had been encouraging him to go into the business for several years. After retiring from a distinguished, 27-year career in law enforcement and with the Department of Justice, it was time for Jervis to make the move. He hasn’t looked back. As an agent with award-winning Coldwell Banker Advantage in Southern Pines/Pinehurst, N.C., Jervis serves both home buyers and sellers. Whether upsizing or downsizing, or looking to list your property for sale, he promises the attention to details that you deserve. He combines market knowledge, prompt communications and affability to earn the trust of his clients. Raised in a small Texas beach town, he attended Texas Tech University, the University of Houston, and Florida International University, studying International Trades, Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration. He earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. While at Texas Tech, he played on the football team, including the 1989 All-American Bowl, in which the Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the Duke Blue Devils, 49-21. Today, he makes his home in Carthage in Moore County. “I’ve also lived in the Raleigh/Durham area,” he says. Jervis understands relocation, in part because his previous career took him to Florida, South Carolina, Virgina, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and North Carolina. When he isn’t working, Jervis enjoys spending time with his wife, Twyla, a hospitalist for a regional hospital, and their blended family of six (“three out of the house/three still in the house”).
