About Jonathan

Born in Greenville, North Carolina and raised in Wallace and Dunn, Jonathan Ennis has been rooted in service, community, and hard work from an early age. He began his career in customer service and sales while still in high school, first as a local lifeguard in the early 2000s—where he learned the importance of responsibility, preparation, communication, and doing the right thing. Most importantly, it’s where he discovered his passion for serving others. That passion followed Jonathan to East Carolina University, where he majored in Hospitality Management and worked in a wide range of hands-on roles—from cooking and cleaning to maintenance and menu planning. Each position reinforced what would become the foundation of his career: humility, adaptability, and a true servant’s heart. Those lessons eventually led him to real estate, where Jonathan proudly describes himself as “a salesman with a server’s heart.” Before selling homes, Jonathan built an extensive sales background with nationally recognized companies including Verizon, ADT, DIRECTV, Wyndham, and U.S. Cellular. In 2017, he brought that experience to real estate with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, choosing to sell something meaningful, transparent, and essential—homes. Jonathan joined The Kozel Team in 2018 and became the team leader in 2021. Under his leadership, the team has consistently delivered strong results, closing $28.3 million in sales volume in 2021, $27.4 million in 2022, $23.5 million in 2023, $23.8 million in 2024, and $22.5 million in 2025. His performance has earned him Coldwell Banker’s International Sterling Society award in 2022 and 2023, followed by the International President’s Circle award in 2024. Jonathan serves every client with integrity, humility, and a commitment to putting their best interests first—because for him, real estate isn’t just about transactions, it’s about people, trust, and service.
