About Tammy

Tammy Braswell knows a bit about organization and numbers. She’s lived and worked it most of her life. Now she is putting her skills to good use to help others while also nurturing her longtime passion for real estate. Best of all, she’s doing it in her own hometown of Sanford, N.C. As an agent with Coldwell Banker Advantage, Tammy combines market knowledge, quick follow-up and genuine caring to help guide home buyers, sellers and investors to successful outcomes. “I’ve always loved everything about real estate,” she says. “I would watch shows and read everything I could. After working in a corporate environment for 20 years, I decided to take a leap of faith (in 2021) and do something I enjoyed. … With encouragement from friends and family, I did it!” “I’ve never worked so hard, sometimes for free,” she adds. “But I love doing it. Real estate is where I found my calling.” Living for some years on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast and New Bern, Tammy also became well-versed about retirement or second homes. “I’ve helped a lot of people relocate after retirement or buy a second home,” she says. “I’m drawn to people who may not have family nearby or have lost their spouses. I end up talking with them for hours. Mostly listening to them. Working with the elderly to transition to long-term care, and leave their homes, is usually a heart- wrenching process, but I guide them and continue to stay in touch – to let them know they have a place in my heart and always will.” Family resonates with Tammy. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug, on their sailboat.
