About Grant

Sanford native son Grant Layton is passionate about serving his real estate clients in and around the place he proudly calls home. Based out of Coldwell Banker Advantage’s Sanford office, Grant says his interest in real estate developed from his own experience in buying, owning, subdividing and selling land. “I’m especially passionate about large acreage and land-based properties,” he says. “There’s something rewarding about helping landowners fully understand the true value and potential of their property, while also helping buyers find land that fits their goals and lifestyle. Whether it’s recreational land, future homesites, investment opportunities, or properties with room to grow, I enjoy guiding clients through the unique aspects that come with buying and selling land.” A graduate of N.C. State University, Grant also has an extensive background in electrical engineering, boosted by working for an electric utility in both engineering and account management roles. Grant is a husband and dad to two sons. In his leisure time, he enjoys coaching T-Ball, playing golf and guitar, and supporting N.C. State sports teams.
