Come see this vintage beach cottage that has been the summer get away for the Whichard Family 71 years. Four generations have enjoyed the carefree days of open screened windows and doors with sound views along with ocean views before the dunes were put in place after the Great Storm of 1962, known as The Ash Wednesday storm to locals. This 800 sq ft cottage survived intact floating to the middle of Beach Rd (Rt 12) in this event, and was moved back to it's present location by John Ferebee, noted house mover along with builder Clifford Steiner Whichard and 2 of his farm workers.
