About Sidney

North Carolina has been my home for over 50 years. After growing up and attending high school in Greensboro, I graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. I now live in Rowan county and have called Salisbury home for 26 years. Helping people set and achieve goals has been a lifelong passion of mine. What started as a summer job, teaching children how to swim, turned into a 30 year career as a math educator in North Carolina public schools. During my time teaching I began working for WW, formerly Weight Watchers. I have loved guiding people through the difficult and exciting process of health and wellness. Celebrating successes and working through challenges have brought me joy through my years at WW. I continue to help part time with WW but have since retired from education. Retiring was difficult because of my love for children but has allowed me to pursue my passion, of helping people, in another facet. My keen interest in the real estate industry was sparked when I first became a homeowner. I found the buying process to be complex, yet fascinating. I, with the help of community resources, often found myself creating real estate situations for students within my classroom. These situations included purchasing, financing options, insurance, escrow accounts, square footage calculations and the math involved in remodeling. I used my knowledge and resources to challenge young people and to educate them about the industry and the many careers that it encompasses. Shortly after that interest was sparked, I earned my NC Broker's License in 2007. Since then, I have represented many clients in achieving their home ownership goals. Whether I am working with a buyer or a seller, I feel that it is important that they understand the processes and all of the steps in making this transaction. I make myself available to meet their needs and answer all of their questions. I am a driven, kind, empathetic and caring person who loves to help better the lives of those around me in whatever way possible.
