About Cindy

Born in the center of the cornfields and steel mills of Illinois, I grew up in the Mid-West as an only child with numerous imaginary friends entertaining my solo childhood. Immediately out of college, I took to the road to find a warmer climate and landed in Chapel Hill, NC in 1981. There is truth in the Tar Heel lore that your feet stick when you get here and they did. Following in the footsteps of my degree, I began my career in communications and photography and have amassed quite a variety of different careers and businesses along the way. I have been a seafood purveyor, a personal assistant to princesses of the Saudi royal family, a caterer, an auctioneer, and many fun-filled stints in-between. I know life from a myriad of viewpoints. I have often said that my auction business survived on the five "D's", Death, Divorce, Depression, Desperation, and Downsizing. For twenty years, I gently and respectfully handled the disposal and acquisition of tens of thousands of client's personal possessions. A home is one of the most significant personal possessions one can own and I understand the myriad of feelings that accompany procuring and/or changing one's nest when the time comes. I, along with the stellar crew at Coldwell Banker HPW, are here for you each step of the way in a holistic manner. It's not just a home one chooses, but a lifestyle, an extension of one's self, a space to call one's own. My passion is photography, my calling is writing, but my sustenance thrives on helping others bring their dreams to fruition.
