About Jay

I was Born in Chapel Hill, and grew up in Mebane, NC. I graduated from Orange High school and studied business at Alamance community college before earning my Real Estate Broker license. I live in Efland, NC, with my wife Amanda, and our Boxer dog, Rosalee. Being born and raised in Orange County, NC, I've really seen our local community grow. I worked as a bartender in downtown Hillsborough and Durham for the past twelve years. Prior to that, I worked as a barista at a coffee shop in downtown Mebane. I loved getting to know my neighbors from behind the bar and mixing up something special for each guest. I enjoy giving my guests the polished and creative service they like and expect. I bring that same dedication to service and in-depth knowledge of this area to my clients in real estate. I've always loved old houses. Growing up, I worked alongside my dad to help remodel our home in Mebane. My passion for historic houses and fixer-uppers give me an openness and willingness to help people find a home they can grow into and love living in. I especially enjoy helping couples find their first home! I also like showing clients around our community, as they prepare to relocate to NC. There is such a variety of properties to look at in our area, and that keeps it interesting. The market is always changing, and I keep my clients updated on what is available, to meet their needs. When I am at home, I love to play around with flavors in the kitchen. I especially love making seafood and Mexican-inspired dishes. As a serial chips and salsa eater, I love making Pico de Gallo! I am not sure if I like making food or eating it more. In my spare time, I like to wrench on my hoard of vintage motorcycles and occasionally, take one out for a spin on the backroads of Orange County.
