Look for the signs – and you’ll see them. Such was the case with Crystal Beekman who recalls that a book inspired her to pursue a new career: real estate. As the story goes, she and loved ones were vacationing in North Myrtle when she picked up a beach read, and the heroine just happened to be a Realtor. The book ended up getting passed around to family members who remarked that the character’s determination reminded them of Crystal. And, by the way, they said she would make a great Realtor, too. She listened. Fast forward, and Crystal earned her real estate license. When she isn’t working, Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband, who works on Fort Liberty, a teenage son, and twin daughters who are both E4 petty officers in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier based in Norfolk, Virginia.
