About me Welcome to Charlotte, NC - The Queen City. Let me help you become acquainted with this beautiful, thriving and thoroughly engaging city. When my family relocated to Charlotte from Southern California in the fall of 1999, we evaluated the market: schools; distance to work, worship and support facilities; types and quantity of local recreational facilities and restaurants; the city's high growth areas - trends and possibilities; nearby arts and sciences, theater; and areas of interest for our children. In short, we did our homework. I spent over ten years appraising single family homes and know how to evaluate a market - let me help you determine what might work for your family. My extensive training and continued current education will bring to light many factors seldom seen or considered by most buyers. My background and experience: former professionally designated residential real estate appraiser. I owned and operated my own business for over eight years, I was consulted as an expert witness, I was the head residential appraiser for a mortgage bank, and I was an approved appraisal instructor. After receiving my broker license, I was a new home sales consultant so I am familiar with designing homes. I hold the Accredited Buyer's Representative and Certified Home Marketing Specialist designations. I have been assisting people buy and sell homes since 2002. I have experience across the board - first time home buyers, relocation, vacant land, new construction and million dollar homes. Personal: nothing strikes home like the phrase "you have cancer." I heard those words in February, 2007 - gastric cancer requiring a total gastrectomy and spleenectomy. I was one of the special few allergic to my chemotherapy. And radiation was a joy too. I hope you see I have a sense of humor as well. Through an impenetrable web of support: doctors, family, friends - I am cancer free and remarkably healthy. Married to Rhonda for over 30 years, we are proud parents of a boy and girl. A proud believer in the Christian faith, we happily serve our community in any way we can. And don't forget Lucy, our Golden Retriever dog, who completes our family unit.
