High upon the bluff overlooking the MS river sits a vintage log home from the 1800's. Magnolia Mansion or Magnolia Plantation, as it has been referred to in one of the Movies which have been filmed here: Uncle Tom's Cabin, Showboat, and Magnolia Romance. The house was build between 1812 to 1813 under the rule of the Kentucky governor, Mantels and logs where imported from France, and London. The MS river can be viewed from three different angles in the house. On the grounds stand what used to be a separate kitchen and living quarters for the workers.
