About Desiree

"Desiree Winans is a mid-Michigan native, who has nothing but admiration for this beautiful state and its incredibly strong people. She graduated from high school in St John's Michigan in 1997 and subsequently took a leap of faith, moving to Southern California in 2001. Working for Whole Foods Market, moving up the chain in the nutrition department, she became enamored with natural health and healing, medicinal plants, healthy cooking and the like! When a family tragedy occurred in 2008 that brought Desiree home, she decided it was time to enter the field of natural health officially. She attended and graduated from The Certified Naturopath program at the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education (NITE) in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. She left Royal Oak in 2017 to come north to Canadian Lakes! The best thing she ever did! Locally she began and ran her small business out of Big Rapids, and has enjoyed plenty of the good life we're blessed to have up here. During the last 5 years, working with clients, building relationships, and learning about the area, has been her full-time focus. Desiree is all about people. The relationships she's cultivated say it all! She enjoys the outdoors, her dogs, and a natural way of living. And while she'll always have that connection to natural health deeply ingrained, it was time to take life in a new direction. Helping people find their first home, their next home, or their forever home, is her primary focus. Connections and relationships are her business, and business is good!
