Privately owned campsite in Ridge Rider Campground in Little Orleans. Campground amenities include swimming pole, fishing pond, game room, laundry, playground, horseshoe pits, basketball court, a rec hall, a camp store, free wi-fi, and guest activities. Lots of nearby outdoor recreation: the Western Maryland Rail Trail -- 27 miles of paved biking and hiking right at your feet. Immediately to the north-west of the campground is the 49,000-acre Green Ridge State Forest with many hiking trails and scenic spots, as well as developed mountain biking trails and public hunting land. A stocked trout stream, fifteen-mile Creek, runs right through the property. ATV trails are available in nearby Pennsylvania’s Buchanan State Forest. Allegany County allows ATVs to be utilized on public roads under certain conditions and with a paid permit. All utilities and road maintenance are included in a $2,200 annual fee.
