About Jacsonn

Originally from Haiti, Jacsonn Jean studied music there and at Eastern Nazarene College. He graduated from Umass Boston with a dual degree in Music Performance and Human Services. At UMass Boston, Jacsonn won the Music Jury Award for outstanding performance and was one of the winners of a Concerto Competition. Jacsonn has performed as Soloist with the Umass Boston Chamber Orchestra, The Brockton Symphony Orchestra, the Somerville Community Chorus and the UMass Boston Chamber Singers. Jacsonn was also selected by the UMass Boston Performing Arts Department to perform the national anthem at both undergraduate and graduate ceremonies and at the World Dance Competition in Boston. He performs regularly in churches, at weddings, and at political events. Jacsonn is passionate about Music and plays multiple musical instruments. He hopes to go to graduate school to earn a Master's degree in Vocal Performance. He is a married father of 4 children, a devout Christian, a Worship Leader, and Choir Director. Jacsonn is currently working as a Social Worker for the Commonwealth of Mass.
