About MARY(Ginger)

Born and raised in Lafayette, Ginger Thibeaux Doucet is a proud graduate of Our Lady of Fatima High School and USL (now University of Louisiana of Lafayette), as well as a Tri Sigma alumnae. Shortly after graduating from college with a Home Economic Business degree, she opened her own business selling and designing children’s clothing, called Ginger Tree Designs. After a successful 15 years of providing many customers with boutique children’s clothing, she embarked the real estate world with the same passion, drive, and eye for design. When Ginger began selling real estate through Van Eaton and Romero, she hit the ground running, even taking her daughter, Marguerite, along for the ride forming what is now known as The Doucet Duo Team. Over the 25 years as a Realtor, some notable honors received throughout her career are Rookie of the Year (1998), Van Eaton and Romero Producer’s Hall of Fame, and Numerous top Agent awards (Platinum, Super Gold, Gold, and Silver Awards). Her peers refer to her as a hard-worker, but one that takes the time to ask how you are doing...and mean it! Her competitive work style is balanced by a fun and humorous side that truly make her a joy to be around. When not working, you can usually find Ginger cooking a gourmet meal or enjoying a glass of wine with her husband, Dale and very large extended family. Part of that large family includes her 3 children and 6 grandchildren. One thing Ginger always says is to "Just Enjoy the Journey!"
