About Marguerite

Marguerite Doucet Blanchard is extremely proud to say she is a Cajun through and through. Once she graduated from STM, without question she knew she was going straight to U,L as both her parents did. While pursuing her degree in Business, Marguerite got her real estate license in order to help her mother, Ginger Doucet. It soon became a love of hers just as her mother, becoming what is now known as The Doucet Duo Team. Throughout her life, Marguerite became an expert at multitasking. Simultaneously in many different arrangements, she was a Realtor, full time student then graduate student, waitress at Edie’s Restaurant, Delta Delta Delta Sorority member, grad assistant at Lafayette Economic Development Authority, Youth Minister, and many other things. This multi-tasking has truly prepared her for where she is now as she is currently excelling in Real Estate and teaches Economics/Finance/Real Estate at UL, all the while raising her 6 beautiful children. When people ask how she does it, she always responds, “You just do it!!” and then admits she has an awesome husband, John, and surrounded by lots of family who help too. “Teamwork makes the dream work...right?!” Her experience and knowledge put her heads and shoulders above most and on equal footing with others—even the toughest of negotiators. One strong advantage of working with the Doucet Duo is their powers of perception. They can quickly identify and analyze the situation, drawing from years of successful cases, and plot a course of action. During her “off hours”, you can find her at various sports complex cheering on her kids, at Milton School volunteering, or at Cajun Field cheering on her Cajuns!
