About Paula

Paula Kiger is a homegrown girl from New Middletown in Harrison County. Her parents both ran a strict and loving household focusing on family values and work ethics. Paula learned these lessons well from her mother and her father whom she credits as her mentor. As the oldest of four siblings, Paula learned the art of mentoring and the love of nurturing at a young age. Her father ran several businesses, and Paula was a key employee. At the age of eight, she was selling paint, and by twelve she was working in her family’s grocery store and all during high school she basically ran that family business. Her sales skills were initiated with a truck full of Jackson County watermelons she sold to earn spending money for the Harrison County Fair. That experience led to over a decade of leadership roles within the Lanesville Heritage Festival. At twenty-one, Paula was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and found herself at the Mayo clinic facing major surgery. It was during this trying time that Paula turned to God in search of ways to give back to others and show gratitude for her returning health. That spiritual quest led her to help others through real estate and a fulfilling life of community and charitable giving. Paula married in 1996 and introduced her son Ridge to a life of real estate from his car seat. McKenzie followed and joined Paula as a willing participant in all of her charitable work. After a very tough time in her life, Paula bravely faced the future as a single, working mom. Paula has always felt strongly about mentoring other agents in her office and throughout the SIRA community. She is especially proud of the personal and professional guidance she’s been able to give her brother and fellow Realtor, Paul Kiger. Paula lives by a simple code. Offer support to everyone and never give up. She believes that the trials and errors of everyday life may lead you to rock bottom, but it is exactly that adversity that leads to success.
