About Shannon

Shannon Sweetnam, a real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Realty, has been practicing residential and commercial real estate for four years. Her experience in leasing, operation, and project management, along with her research and negotiation skills, led her to pursue the commercial side of real estate. Her experience in marketing and communications has helped her secure offers in residential and commercial properties in an aggressive and timely fashion, and she has a passion for helping people in all stages of life with their personal and business property needs. Shannon prides herself in her customer service and the trust she earns through her commitment and dedication to each client, regardless of transaction size. Shannon holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Randolph College, a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Hollins University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Washington University in St. Louis. She also earned her certificate in non-profit resource development from The Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management and recently attended the University of Michigan's Bear River Writer's Conference on an Illinois Arts Council grant. Shannon Sweetnam is deeply committed to the interconnected issues of housing equity and environmental justice and actively advocates for more fair and equitable housing and environmental legislation and practices in her spare time. She lives in Lake Forest, Illinois, with her husband and three children.
