About John

Business Philosophy A real estate professional since 1987, John loves connecting with people and building relationships with his clients. His number one goal is always to provide exemplary service. He educates his clients with each step of the process. As a native of Chicago and growing up on the North Shore, John loves sharing his knowledge of the history of Chicago and its architecture with his clients. He has lived in East Ravenswood for 34 years focusing his business on his own neighborhood as well as Lakeview, Lincoln Park, North Center, Lincoln Square, the Gold Coast Streeterville and South Loop, along with Chicago s North Shore suburbs. John graduated from University of Arizona with a degree in Interior Design and minors in Psychology and Studio Arts. His junior year was spent on SAS, World Campus Afloat, traveling by ship while attending classes and visiting Asia, Africa and Europe. "My goal is to build lasting relationships through personalized service to achieve professional results." Personal Background Before real estate, John's professional careers were always of a creative vein. From a successful interior design career he became the director of merchandising for national specialty retailer and then a buyer for an international catalogue company. Before entering into real estate, John was the design director of a photography studio creating room scene and window fashion photography for national manufacturers. He has always had an eye for design. After having a negative experience buying his first condo in 1986, John decided he didn't want other people to have the same experience. He got his license and has been selling ever since. John always makes his clients a priority, making sure he is accessible. His marketing, photography and interior design experience are extremely valuable tools for both buyers and sellers. These skills allow him to prepare properties to sell or see the potential in a property to buy. With many years in the business and a licensed real estate professional in both Illinois and Florida, John has done a variety of transactions. He has worked with both buyers and sellers, successfully closing contracts on condos, single family houses, town homes and co-ops. In his spare time, John enjoys cooking and baking. After many years of running, including a marathon, John enjoys walking. To channel his abundant creativity, John is a mixed media artist and has been involved with production design on feature length and short films. He is also an honorary member of Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance and is very active in the Pancreatic Cancer Network.
