A native Oregonian before most people knew what that meant, I moved to Chicago 35 years ago after a five-year publishing stint in Italy to live in a real city. I've never looked back. I've lived, worked and raised a family in the Gold Coast and Streeterville. And am equally at home in River North, Lake Shore East, the South Loop and its younger cousin, the West Loop, , Lincoln Park, Lake View, Rogers Park. Edgewater, among many others.
