About Afri

Afri A. Atiba is a Chicago native, educator, entrepreneur, writer, and real estate professional with a passion for helping people build knowledge, confidence, and financial independence through real estate. A lifelong educator, Afri earned her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College Chicago, Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary. She also holds a master's degree in online teaching. She currently serves as adjunct faculty in the Philosophy Department at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, where she teaches Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, and World Religions. Afri's path into real estate grew naturally from her commitment to education, entrepreneurship, community development, and financial freedom. In 2023, she joined a real estate investment club focused on purchasing and renovating properties to provide rental housing. That same year, she earned her real estate license, expanding her knowledge of the industry so she could help others understand the opportunities that property ownership can provide. As a real estate professional, Afri brings something especially important to the client relationship: the heart of a teacher. She believes clients should never feel pressured into making a decision they do not understand. Whether working with a first-time homebuyer, seller, investor, or someone considering real estate as part of a long-term wealth-building strategy, Afri takes the time to explain the process, answer questions, and help clients make informed decisions with confidence. For Afri, real estate is about more than buying and selling property. It is about ownership, opportunity, community, and creating a foundation for financial freedom.
